Jolly Mountain wildfire was a wake-up call in 2017 to the upper Kittitas County, highlighting the inherent risk of living in forested areas with limited ingress and egress. The communities of Roslyn, Ronald and Cle Elum were lucky. With that event in mind, KFACC members quickly decided that the story needed to be told about How Kittitas County is a Fire Environment.
